Powder Blue Egg Hatch

It's been almost a month since I've last uploading anything. Sorry about that but I finally managed to get a new job and have been focusing almost exclusively on that these passing weeks.

This busty Bulma piece wasn't a request or anything like that, this was strictly for my own amusement and a way to ignore my pile of unfinished sketches. Looking at the same sketches for longer than a few minutes bores the shit out of me and is a great way for me to become disinterested in drawing all together... so this is a way to "recharge the batteries" while still actually staying in the habit of drawing.

PhillipThe2 has some great colors of some of my other work. So go check that shit out.

And his request- that was like a year late- can be found here.

A Passage in Time

It's been years since I've drawn a Callie Briggs piece and I can think of no better indicator of how far I've come than to compare the two posts. This was another long overdue request that I can finally remove from the "To Do" stack. I can't say when but I'd like to do some more Callie material in the future and maybe even try my hand at the other girls from the show.

I've been obsessed with the show since I was a child and made the DVD set a day one purchase the moment I heard about the release a couple of years ago. The action was great, the music was cool, the writing was good, and of course Callie added a little sultriness to the show. I may not be into the furry scene but I'm of the firm belief that everyone is indeed furry for Callie.

As for other things coming up, I've posted these to my twitter account:

Lois Griffin dancing for Chris

Dr. Girlfriend and The Monarch

Raven from Teen Titans

Black Tongue

A coloring of an old Lois Flagston pic that I had done a couple of years ago. When I first posted it the great and wise PhillipThe2 colored it along with a couple of other Hi and Lois pics and they can be seen here. As I'm finding myself scratching the itch that is coloring my older work, I pick up on how much my style has improved and evolved over the years. It also gives me an opportunity to study the techniques of the artists cool enough to have colored my stuff. This Lois wasn't a request but just something I wanted to do.

Triana Orpheus, on the other hand, is a request from around 2009... I think. I know it was asked of me when I was still living in Chicago so that's the most recent year it could have been. I originally wanted to wait until I had completed a Dr. Girlfriend that's in the pipeline but I couldn't bring myself to sit on this for very long. A very simple topless pic because those can be fun too. Loved how it came out so I may whip up some more of her in the future and hopefully it doesn't take another four years for me to get around to it.

TITS AND ASS. Is there anything better in life?

The answer is "No."

Bounce (Let Me See Ya Throw it)

The second of the two Lisa the Babysitter pieces- drawn a couple of months ago- finally sees the light of day. Of course it wouldn't be a proper blog post without a little Lois Flagston love, either.

Helix Nebula

This picture of Princess Peach is close to THREE FUCKING YEARS OLD and I'm only now uploading it. I can't even tell you who requested it because I can't even remember. They're probably dead by now and if not I want to imagine they've had a browser tab opened on this blog, silently dedicated to the moment this image would grace their computer screen. Maybe on his death bed he told his grandchildren to never close the tab because one day a barely mediocre artist would post a picture he had requested long ago in his foolish optimistic youth.

He was buried in his furry costume. RIP. Yiff in heaven.

Agent Honeydew wasn't a request but more of a suggestion by a twitter follower. I love my twitter dudes and dudettes. They go to the front of the line.

Hey, Ladies

You would think that, being some of the first cat girls, Josie and the Pussycats would be a little more popular in the Rule 34 community. Trendsetters they may have been, it doesn't help that the animated version of their adventures was little more than a Scooby Doo rip off. Of the three band members Valerie was always my favorite since she was usually the smart one... but mainly due to my affinity to black girls. A black cat girl, it doesn't really get much better than that. Before anyone asks, I'll definitely consider doing art of the other girls sometime in the future.

So with that said, we've got two different versions of Valerie and Alan, the first is done in my normal style but the second was altered to replicate the Ben-Day Dot technique used by the comics.

Bumble Bee is my second favorite female character from the Teen Titans animated series, the first being Raven of course. This drawing is around a year old (I think) and I had thought it had been lost or stolen at one point until I found it a few weeks ago. Decided I should ink and color the thing before it goes missing again.

In case you haven't heard, CISPA is back- yet again- because government is an unnecessary evil.

Until I get around to uploading new art I'll just post these previews for some of the stuff currently being worked on:

Teen Titan's Bumble Bee

Triana from the Venture Bros

Dexter's Laboratory's Agent Honeydew

Callie Briggs from SWAT Kats

Dot Matrix from REBOOT

Danny Phantom's Maddie Fenton

Livin' Large

A very Dexter's Lab themed upload today. Really didn't notice it until I put the tags on the post just now.

I always wished the Justice Friends had been given their own show, such a missed opportunity there, Cartoon Network.

The Key to Gramercy Park

It's that time again.

It could only be so long before there were more Hi and Lois pics posted on this blog. I make no excuses, she's just so fun to draw. If you haven't seen it yet, my comrade PhillipThe2 did this bad ass version of a Lois Flagston pic I drew. Go over there and throw money at him or something. Actual money though, not fiat currency.

There's a few more colors of older material I'm gonna upload over the next couple of days before I start on posting brand new artwork. Get excited.

Back To School

Jeri in a school girl outfit was intended originally as just a thumbnail for a look I was toying with for my so very frequently postponed Preteena comic. I liked it so much that I fleshed it out, inked it, and now- millions of years later- finally colored it. Her lips threw me off due to trying to stick as close the creator's style as possible. Lipstick on just her bottom lip looks off to me and it looked even worse putting color in place of her upper lip. I really admire Allison Barrows' artwork and she manages to do the lipstick so well. Eh, maybe I'll work it out for the next one.

When I had written this blog the first time about the Abilify girl it shipwrecked into an anti-state, anti-pharmaceutical, and anti-corporation rant. Let's try it again.

I just recently discovered that the character's name is Jane from some "Fulfillment Kits" they pass around to the unwitting victims of this government created pharmaceutical corporatocracy --AND GODDAMMIT I'M TRYING NOT TO RANT RIGHT NOW.

But whatever.

I like the way the picture turned out and I still plan on doing some of the other girls that were featured in the commercials. I'm just not sure when.

Pink Elephants

Ah, Jeri Keene... so stuck up and yet so attractive.

I've always had a thing for those types.

Trying Your Luck

It's Frankie Foster going full Scheming Pedo Status. Does there really need to be any more of a description here?

Sheera, of the Might Mightor cartoons, seems to be almost non-existent when it comes to Rule 34 depictions. As I finished coloring this one the song "Roll to Me" came on shuffle and I just felt it was a pretty inappropriate and yet hilarious song to have playing as I looked over the image.

So... uh... there you go...

So What'cha Want

Who didn't love Dragon Ball Z growing up? Fortunately for me, as a child, I was lucky enough to be exposed (lol) to the series in the correct Dragon Ball-Dragon Ball Z order due to my father's friends and VHS fansubs that they had passed around amongst one another. These were copies of copies of copies of subs recorded off of tv and VCDs so the quality of the images and sounds weren't the best. Even to this day I sometimes spell Goku as "Gokuo" or "Gokuh" just from the sheer habit of watching those tapes so much and it becoming ingrained in my memory.

Also Dragon Ball characters were the first things I tried drawing as kid and are almost solely responsible for me becoming interested in artwork in general.

I don't know if the "Anime Crisis" fansub community still exists but I'd like to thank them for the part they played in this guy's childhood.

Send a Man

The "What A Cartoons" were some of my favorite childhood television memories and briefly popular during the time when Cartoon Network was looking for their next breakout show. "Gramps" was one of my definitive favorites and one I had always hoped would become a series but I guess it was just never meant to be. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't find ONE Rule 34 image of the President from the short.

Wondering why there are three versions of the pic featuring different color palettes? There's a gag in the episode that involves Gramps not being able to remember in color but when his grandchildren- who are stuck in his flashbacks with him- protest, he adds various shades of yellow to the surroundings. Eventually the complain about this too and he finally gives them full technicolor visuals.

I don't know if that counts as Rule34 on the color yellow but it was just a funny idea that came to me as I colored the thing.

Decided to go and color an old Pebbles Flintstone pic before posting anything new because not only do I have a slight obsession with the character but I've also wanted to revisit some of my old work for quite awhile now. PhillipThe2 has already done an incredible color of this pic so be sure to check his version out as well. Dude is a beast.

The Daphne vs Velma pic is one of my favorites that I've done. Always been a Daphne fan myself but you can't deny how fucking STACKED Velma truly is. A nerd goddess for sure. The artist Orange Pickles did a marvelous coloring of this one over a year ago.

Dead Flowers for Her

Anyone who follows me on THA TWITTAH MACHINE knows that the end of 2012 was a bit of a disaster for ol' Rage Grenade. After some legal trouble, getting dumped, and then losing my job... drawing kind of lost any kind of relevance or priority in my life. But 2013 is a new year and it's about time I kicked it off with NEW artwork.

One of my friends on THA TWITTAH MACHINE suggested I do a picture featuring Lisa the babysitter from Dexter's Lab. Luckily I was really into the idea at the time and decided why the fuck not. So here's the first of two pics featuring everyone's favorite jailbait babysitter. The other is near completion but you can glimpse the rough draft sketch on my Twitpic account, I plan on posting it with one of Agent Honeydew as soon as they're both done and hopefully that's within the next few days.
