Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

It's that wonderful time of the year. Since I missed last year's holiday season I wanted to make sure I got an upload in for this year. I apologize and I hope this makes it up to you.

Decided to go with another mother/son pairing for this year's Christmas picture. This time drawing Francine and Steve exchanging gifts. I really enjoy the way she came out in this one.

And as a bonus I threw in Judy Jetson showing off a bikini, free of charge. Not as festive but I was jonesing to draw an ass and I hadn't tried my hand at Judy yet.

As always, black and white copies for anyone who wants to color or edit their own version. Just credit me for the art.

  1. Hey Grenade of Rage,

    Marry Christmas to you, too!

I really like the new Francine with Steve picture. The idea is fun and it looks nice. Steve's face is great and Francine's upper body is wonderful. I like her positioning. The only thing is I think that her waist is a bit to skinny and her hips to large. Here is a picture of Francine in a bikini:

The same goes for Judy. I know you like big asses but even so it is a bit over the top for the character designs.

But it's your art and you put it out for all of us to see for free, so I am happy regardless, because it is really cool! Just some input if you wanted to be more on-model.

    Keep up the wonderful work!

  2. Thanks for the feedback!

I find Seth Macfarlan's designs to be extremely unappealing and bland. I do my best to make them look as aesthetically pleasing as possible while staying true to the original concept of the design.

As for Judy- or most of Hanna Barbera's artwork- the actual designs themselves a quite fun but don't usually lend themselves to a sexy pornographic style easily. Maybe in the hands of a more capable artist it can be done, but I am not that man.

So I'll sign off with a quote from the creator of Ren & Stimpy, John Kricfalusi:

"If you can tell who the character is, then it's on-model."

I get that every artist is going to put their own spin on things, and I think that is good. I just thought that her hip to waist ratio was a bit extreme. It is still a really good picture, but I guess I just liked this model of Francine of yours better:

  4. Yeah, that was the one I based this on. Since I never finished that one and eventually ended up losing it in the past 5 years, I wanted to do it the way I had always envisioned but wasn't artistically capable of doing back then.

I'm glad you liked it, though!
